Welcome to Our New Faculty Liaison to Study Abroad!
In summer 2019 we welcomed Kara Roche as our new faculty liaison to study abroad, and we couldn’t be more excited to provide our faculty with such an exciting liaison. One of her first initiatives is to visit London Metroplitan University to tour the on-site facilities as we develop a transfer program. Site visits give professors interested in offering a faculty led study abroad program the opportunity to experience first hand what it will be like to take students to a foreign country as part of a course. Let her know if you are interested in a site visit.

The 2020-2021 Netherlands Exchange Program
Applications are now available for the Netherlands Exchange program for 2020-2021.
This program provides the opportunity for one on one exchanges between community college faculty and staff and their counterparts at similar institutions of higher education in the Netherlands. The program consists of nine days of professional exchange and three days (weekend) to explore the country.
This is an incredible opportunity to have a professional experience abroad at an affordable cost. The Exchange program is based on home stays, therefore, the only costs to the participants are the airfare and their personal expenditures.
Faculty/staff in the U.S. host a faculty/staff person from the Netherlands at their home from October 10 to October 24, 2020.
In May, the U.S. partners travel to the Netherlands to visit their Dutch partners (May 8, 2021 – May 22, 2021).
A number of faculty and staff from Massachusetts Community Colleges have participated in the program in the past, and the reports have been overwhelmingly positive.
The application deadline is Friday, March 13, 2020.
Membership in the Massachusetts Council for International Education (MaCIE) provides an opportunity for MWCC faculty and professional staff to request a lecturer to visit the campus to give a lecture and/or be a resource related to international education.
